Practical guides
Choose a comfortable hand action
Choose an action you can comfortably use in the actual situation. It should be reachable and fit the task you are already doing.
App instructions and features describe the release candidate. Public App Store release is pending.
Check the action against your day
- Comfort. Avoid painful pressure or an action that irritates injured skin.
- Access. Keep a suitable object where the moment tends to happen.
- Context. A quiet action may fit a meeting better than a noisy object.
- Attention. Choose something that does not interfere with a safety-critical task.
Try one thing before filling a toolkit
A soft object, resting hands, or another ordinary hand task can be a starting idea. This is a planning exercise, not a prescription.
Notice whether it fits rather than forcing yourself to use an uncomfortable choice.
Keep the useful detail
Record the situation and the action, including when it did not help. That information can shape your next attempt.
Pipping’s six free resets offer different actions. The app does not promise that any particular action will change the habit.
