Everyday moments

Make a hand plan for a study session

Choose a hand action that fits reading before the study block starts. Revisit the idea during a normal break.

App instructions and features describe the release candidate. Public App Store release is pending.

Prepare for the actual study task

  • Keep the pen or keyboard accessible.
  • Choose a quiet action that leaves the hand you need for writing free.
  • Place the object beside the book rather than behind the screen.
  • Use the next planned break for any reflection.

Different tasks need different plans

Reading can leave a hand idle. Writing an answer may need both hands. Do not force the same action into both situations.

A phone reset can be a short break if you want one. It does not improve memory or exam performance.

A useful end-of-block note

Record which task you were doing and whether the chosen action fitted. Keep academic results separate from habit observations.

If app use keeps interrupting study, leave the phone aside and use the prepared setup.
