Pipping on a New iPhone

Restoring Pip Plan access and recovering local records are different tasks. Apple can restore an eligible purchase with the purchasing Apple Account. Pipping has no cloud sync service that automatically recreates your old notes or journal.

App instructions and features describe the release candidate. Public App Store release is pending.

Keep the old device until you check

  1. Before erasing an old device, review any Pipping records you still need.
  2. Follow Apple’s current device-transfer instructions for your chosen migration method.
  3. On the new device, check the actual app records rather than assuming that restored paid access means restored data.
  4. Use Pipping’s purchase-restore control if eligible Pip Plan access is missing.

Do not rely on a journal backup

Pipping marks its journal photo files as excluded from device backups. This website does not certify how every direct-transfer method handles those files.

An original image in Photos is a separate copy with Apple’s own storage and transfer settings. Keep that distinction when reviewing what survived.

Support cannot download your private history

The developer does not hold a server copy of local entries. If records are absent, avoid promising yourself that signing into an app account will recover them. Pipping has no such account. Describe the migration method and missing records to support without attaching private photos.
