Practical guides

Understand your nail journal’s privacy

Pipping stores a compressed journal copy locally and excludes its journal photo files from device backups. A photo’s original copy can remain elsewhere.

App instructions and features describe the release candidate. Public App Store release is pending.

The journal copy and the original

Selecting a photo from your library creates a journal copy. Your Photos library remains a separate place with its own settings.

Pipping does not remove the original when you delete a journal entry.

What the app does with the picture

The app shows your picture in the private journal. It does not publish it or use it in widgets, notifications, sharing, or companion art.

The journal requires the optional Pip Plan purchase. You do not need to add a photo to use resets.

Before removing the app

Check whether you want to retain any original pictures. Pipping has no cloud journal or developer server copy.

Do not treat purchase restoration as photo recovery. Contact support without attaching sensitive pictures unless necessary.
