Practical guides
Keep a useful record of your cues
Record what you were doing when you noticed your hands moving. Describe the situation before trying to explain why it happened.
App instructions and features describe the release candidate. Public App Store release is pending.
Separate observation from explanation
“Reading with my right hand near my mouth” records something you noticed. “I always bite because I am stressed” adds a conclusion.
One entry cannot establish a cause. Leave room for later observations to differ.
Write a note you can use later
- Name the place or activity.
- Record what your hands were doing.
- Note the action you tried, if any.
- Keep any explanation tentative until you have more context.
Decide what to prepare
If several saved moments share the same setup, try one practical change to that setup. You might move a comfortable object closer.
Pipping’s logging is free. Its paid private patterns summarize saved entries without turning them into an efficacy score.
